Dr. Ali Khademhosseini, is the CEO/Director of the Terasaki Institute for Biomedical Innovation as well as the Paul I Terasaki Distinguished Professor, Previously @Harvard and @MIT for 16 years, and @amazon, biomedical researcher, innovator, mentor, world traveler, educator, ACS Nano Assoc. Editor. Dr. Khademhosseini is a leader in applying bioengineering solutions to precision medicine. His large and interdisciplinary group is interested in developing ‘personalized’ solutions that utilize micro- and nanoscale technologies to enable a range of therapies for organ failure, cardiovascular disease, and cancer.
Dr. Khademhosseini’s interdisciplinary research has been recognized by over 60 major national and international awards. In 2007, he was named a TR35 recipient by the Technology Review Magazine as one of the world’s top young innovators. He is also the recipient of the Mustafa Prize as well as a member of the International Academy of Medical and Biological Engineering, Royal Society of Canada, and Canadian Academy of Engineering.
Dr. Khademhosseini is an Associate Editor for ACS Nano. He received his Ph.D. in bioengineering from MIT (2005), and MASc (2001) and BASc (1999) degrees from the University of Toronto both in chemical engineering.
